James L. "Jimmy" Reynolds was elected to Middletown Town Council on March 5, 1990. A lifelong resident, he has been the Town's Vice-Mayor since 1995.
Mr. Reynolds oversees the streets and parks departments in the Town.
He is a Life Member of the Volunteer Hose Company, serving nine years on the Board of Directors and six years as Vice President of the organization.
A huge supporter of Middletown High School Cavalier football, he has also served the youth in the area on the M.O.T. Little League Baseball board of directors (25-plus years) and two years as president. He was also co-founder of the original M.O.T. Youth Football and the Big Ball Marathon for the Muscular Dystrophy Association 20 years ago. He also wholeheartedly supports Relay for Life.
The Vice-Mayor retired from the Delaware Department of Transportation after 35 years of service. He has worked for Contractors Materials since 2002. He is married to wife Yvonne and has sons Matt and Tyler.
