The annual Town of Middletown 4th of July Fireworks will be held on Thursday, July 4, at dark (usually dark enough to start sometime between 9 and 9:30 p.m). Silver Lake Park opens at 6 p.m. Fireworks Rain Date: July 5.
FIREWORKS UPDATE!!! Get ready for the annual July 4 fireworks in the Town of Middletown on Thursday at dark. Please take note ... There will be NO PARKING inside Silver Lake Park this year due to construction in the area. Once the lots are full at the entrance to the Park / Silver Lake Elementary, they will be closed. Parking will be available on the Town streets surrounding the park, at the Middletown YMCA, at the New Castle County Appoquinimink Library and adjacent lots to these structures. Residents and visitors may still walk into the Park to watch the fireworks, but please plan to park nearby and walk in. Please -- no bicycles, skateboards, scooters, backpacks, pets or disguises at the event!!! Have a fun and safe 4th of July.
