The Town of Middletown has recently revised all of the rental property registration, and inspection documents. Please be sure to read all documentation.
All properties utilized as rental properties (units) located in the Incorporated Town of Middletown must be registered with the Town Licensing and Inspections Department.
There are no fees involved in this registration process.
Rental inspections are required at the change of each tenant. All inspections are to be made while the rental unit is vacant (empty), clean, and all utilities are to be turned on prior to the scheduled inspection. The Town's rental inspection checklist should be followed in preparing the unit for inspection.
